What is the Affiliate Program?
An Affiliate Program allows you to place links to our WebAssured "Seal of Assurance" merchant application form on your web site. By placing these links, visitors to your site have the opportunity to join the WebAssured merchant community. If a membership is purchased through your web site, we pay you a commission for each sale.

Why should I join?
There are many reasons to join, the most obvious being revenue! However, besides gaining revenue, promoting a "Trust Mark" like WebAssured is a unique opportunity to help promote a community of trust on the Internet.... a community of trust that allows consumers and merchants to operate online with confidence. You're making the Web a better place. Best of all, it's easy. You'll make money with very little effort. We take the customer order and handle all payments. All you do is cash the check!

How does the program work?
An Affiliate Program allows you to make money by referring potential WebAssured members to our web site. You do this by placing links on your site. Every time you refer somebody to us that becomes a member of WebAssured, you earn a commission (bounty) of $25. In every month that you have earned more than $100, we send you a commission check. It's that easy!

Does it cost me anything to become an Affiliate?
No.

Can a web site outside the United States be an Affiliate?
Yes. We welcome Affiliates from anywhere in the world; however, customers that buy from our site must pay in U.S. dollars. All commission payment checks to Affiliates are in U.S. dollars.

How do I sign up?
First, you must read and accept the terms of our program. Then, you complete our online application form. After your application is submitted, we will contact you to let you know if you've been accepted as an Affiliate, and we will provide you with information on how to get started. Do I have to join WebAssured to become a Merchant Affiliate?
No. However, we encourage you to do so. By joining WebAssured you make a statement to the Internet community that you are ethical, fair, and trustworthy. Our Seal of Assurance allows trustworthy web sites to compete on a level playing field, regardless of whether they have a widely recognized brand name. The Seal at the same time protects on-line buyers, and enables trustworthy on-line sellers. We have established the Universal Standard of Ethics by which the global Internet community expects on-line businesses to operate, and we allow the community to directly monitor and enforce adherence to those standards through the application of what we call "pressure through publicity".

Bottom Line: If you engage in e-commerce, it may be considered hypocritical to endorse a program of this nature if you are not participating. By joining WebAssured, you are endorsing the very integrity of the product you are now selling to others.

What are my responsibilities as an Affiliate?
The only thing you are responsible for is using the tag generator on Reporting.net to create and place links on your site. We handle everything else.

What are WebAssured's responsibilities?
We will provide you with the tools and support you need to maximize sales through your site. We also handle orders and billing for all new members you refer to us. And, most importantly, we will pay your commission in a consistent and timely fashion.

I don't have a web site. Can I still apply?
No.

Can I participate in other Affiliate programs?
Yes.

How do I change my account information?
Once you have been accepted as an Affiliate, you will be given access to Reporting.net. Your account information can be modified through Reporting.net.

Will becoming an Affiliate increase traffic to my site?
Our Affiliate Program is a revenue-sharing program. It is not designed to help you increase traffic to your site.

SETTING UP LINKS

How do I create links?
We have an automatic tag generator on Reporting.net that creates HTML that you cut and paste into your web site. It is so easy to use even beginners can create links in seconds. The tag generator allows you to create hundreds of types of links to our products.

Where should I place the links on my site?
You should place links where they are easy for your site visitors to find, such as your homepage. Some areas you may want to place your links include your home page, your navigation bar, and any other traffic areas. If you place the links in an easily accessible location on your site, your visitors will be more likely to make a purchase.

Can I use your content on my site?
You may create links to our site from any portion of your site. WebAssured reserves the right to delete links from any site that it finds objectionable.

TRACKING, PAYMENT, AND REPORTING

How much can I earn?
We can't predict how much you will earn from our Affiliate Program because we don't know anything about your web site or your visitors. There is no cap to how much you can earn from the WebAssured Affiliate Program.

How do I know how much commission I've earned?
Through Reporting.net, you can access reports, which are updated daily, that provide information on impressions, click throughs, orders, shipments, and commissions earned.

How often do I get paid?
We write checks monthly to all Affiliates who've accumulated at least $100 in unpaid commissions (bounties). If you do not earn $100 in a month, we will carry it forward for up to 12 consecutive months, add it to your current month commissions, and pay you when your total equals or exceeds $100.

Do I earn commissions on my own purchases?
Yes. When you buy a WebAssured membership through your web site, you earn the same commission (bounty) on your purchase that you would from a visitor purchase. That is, a WebAssured membership annual fee of $180 ultimately only costs you $155 ($180 less $25 in commission you receive from us).

How can I monitor my sales?
You can monitor your sales by accessing reports as often as you like through Reporting.net.

Who processes orders and handles customer service?
We do all of that for the customers that you refer to our site. All you have to do is place links on your site. We do the rest!

How will you know that the orders came from my site?
All links from your site to our site contain a unique identifier so that every time a user comes to us via your site, we know to credit you when a purchase is made. This is only possible, though, when you create all of your links with the tag generator on Reporting.net.

How often can I run reports?
You can run reports daily if you wish. Reporting.net, our reporting web site, is updated daily with the latest information about your site.

I operate more than one web site. Can you track them separately but pay me with one commission check?
Yes. You can have multiple sites under one Affiliate account. You can create links and generate reports specifically for each site, but you will receive one commission check for all of your sites.
